Academic year 2007-08 is our fifteenth year. Established in 1993, we spent our first ten years in various church buildings in Ronan. In 2003, we made the move fourteen miles north to Polson. This year, we were invited to use the spacious facilities of New Life Christian Center on Second Street West. Here we enjoy more classroom and playground space than we have before. Meanwhile construction is currently underway to build our own facility. The new school site is located on the south side of Highway 35, two miles from the intersection with Highway 93. From its first year, MVCA has not been associated with a particular church fellowship or denomination but has enjoyed the support of churches throughout the valley. This inter-denominational flavor is reflected in its board, faculty, and student body. Geographically, our move to Polson has slowly shifted the weight of our student body to the northern end of the Mission Valley. However, the Ronan and St. Ignatius areas continue to be well represented at the school. At the other end of the valley, we have students that commute from as far north as Rollins. Currently there are sixty-one students enrolled. Our most widely attended event of the year has been our annual drama production. From the early years of the school's history, MVCA has been distinctive for the quality of its drama productions. |
